What’s in a brand.  Wikipedia says: A brand is a name or trademark connected with a product or producer.[1] Brands have become increasingly important components of culture and the economy, now being described as “cultural accessories and personal philosophies”.

So, if that definition is true, and I believe it is,  just the other day I had the pleasure of sitting down right inside of one of New Orleans most stalwart BRANDS – Cafe Du Monde. The truth be known every time I travel to New Orleans, I visit Cafe Du Monde in the French Quarter.

Cafe Du Monde does only a few things Biegnets and Chickory Cafe. They have been doing those two things for a very very very long time.  As each of us considers brand building we diligently aspire to  consistently make our solution, service or special value available to the marketplace, then when a sale is made we over deliver. That is the hallmark of building a successful brand.

Aristotle commented on branding, although at the time I think he was simply being himself, the philosopher,  he said the following >>

“We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, therefore, is not an act but a habit.”

When building your brand or the brand of another, follow the strategy suggested by Aristotle and executed so very well by Cafe Du Monde.
